It all began on May 26, 1978, when Marco Bibas founded Encajes S.A. with a simple yet powerful idea: to create textiles that inspire confidence and stand out for their quality.

In the 1990s, under the leadership of Leon Bibas, the company entered a new stage of transformation and expansion, becoming an international reference in stretch lace and in the development of exclusive technologies recognized in the most demanding markets.

 

With the creation of the Bibatex textile line — specializing in fabrics for fashion, shapewear, sportswear, and swimwear — Encajes expanded its portfolio with innovations such as Powernet, circular knits, and 3D fabrics, thereby consolidating its position as a pioneering, forward-thinking company.
